Honestly I'm super inspired and feel so happy for Felix. Huge props to him for being so committed and showing his art to the world. Thanks for inspiring us, I hope more people pick up art because of him :)

I think everybody seems to forget that Felix actually did graphic design years a go. So he already has an eye for shapes, composition and colour usage. That experience definitely shows.

had a crisis of "wait he can do that in 100 days and I'm not at that level when I've been drawing for years?"....but then your "stop it" came at the right time. I'm not a professional, I'm just someone who enjoys drawing, maybe today even I'll pick up a pencil. Not everything needs to be monetized to enjoy it. That's the trap I fell into with art.

Seeing Pewdiepie drawing and recording himself drawing and feeling a bit insecure as to whether or not he’s recording it correctly is surreal, like, he’s doing it amazingly well!

I'm sorry but why is PewDiePie learning to draw oddly wholesome?

"you're not a fraud Pewdiepie, you're not Kooleen" 😂 Love it when they attack each other 😂💖

If pewdiepie, a literal father of children. Can learn to draw so late in life, there is honestly nothing stoppting anyone from learning and doing art 😊

Seeing this makes me actually wanna commit to art for once. I’ve always liked the idea of being really good at art but I’ve never been able to commit because I’ve never drawn something that I’ve actually liked enough to keep going. I always put myself down for not being perfect on my first go and this is making me motivated to just do 30 days like pewdiepie and just see where it takes me. Perhaps afterwards I’ll do 100 and perhaps more. Wish me luck

Edit: day 4 was today and I haven’t been able to put down my pencil. I’m so incredibly happy that I am not only sticking to it but having fun at the same time. I am also learning to live with the imperfections that come with learning to draw, and I am accepting that improvement comes time. More updates to come, and thank you wall for being so supportive, I wish you all the best.

Edit 2: its been a while and what I would call the honeymoon phase of my art has worn off. I have hit a rough patch because while I am improving I am having trouble thinking of things to draw. Large amounts of art block and general unmotivation make it very hard to draw each day. I'm trying to go on and hoping that after getting through this phase it will clear the water and drawing will be fun and natural again. Wish me luck I definetly need it.

Drawing your dad in the shower is crazy😭

Edit: stop fighting about it. I understand he was a kid and just thought drawing your father in the shower was funny. I didn’t mean it as “that’s weird” I meant “that’s crazy” as in “Lol that’s funny”. I’m not saying he committed a crime or that it was wrong. He was a kid and kids are curious, so quit commenting abt it💀

I feel obligated to mention Pedws has years of photoshop experience. I feel it truly pulls trough in his coloring process, his innate understanding of color composition. Adding color leveled his art up so much😍

One of my favorite artists defined talent as, “when you like doing something, so you keep doing it”. Whether or not you think that’s “talent”, I think that applies to Pewdiepie and every passionate artist.

I have seen a lot of people (on tiktok, his video etc) say that well he has time to draw. He is rich so he can afford lessons, and he has time etc. He is very busy, and he is also a father with other obligations. He is being very transparent with how his process was in the video, so it is not anything different from what your average person could do.
He has a graphics design degree, which probably helped, and his time editing thumbnails/videos has probably given him an eye for how colors work.

These things doesn't lessen the fact of what he accomplished. I think he should be very proud, and is a great example that anyone can do it if they set aside 10 minutes every day. Find the references/style you want to use, and just get drawing.

This is wildly motivating for artists who have been in slumps, HE DID SO WELL.
Edit: I say this because I’m an artist who hasn’t drawn seriously in like a year due to being busy. I personally don’t see how his fast progress is demotivating as stated by some of the replies, but to each their own.

This ressonates so much to me and a lot of artist as I've been reading the comments. I recently went through such a breakdown, emotionally and mentally. I've drawed forever and even when I started to post things on the internet, the internet was still a fun place, I think, but the last few years it has drained me so much, the pressure of productivity and algorhitm and all that, my anxiety couldn't keep up, so I stagnated for MONTHS and it felt awful, because I wanted to learn things, but studying was just making it worse. Little by little I've been going back to it, and surely seeing PewDiePie, who I've been following for at least a decade, going on this journey, definitely got me feelings lol

Thank you for your words and excitement over this! "Taking your time to draw what's fun to you" is something I had to learn a bad way, but I'm glad I'm here now.

I like how this was dropped after 1000 art-tubers already did their reactions and commentary for this video, but I am still watching. There's a lot of value hearing various insights from different hobbyists, professionals and the such on general concepts of narrowness of scope, improvement, enjoyment, mediums etc when it comes to the early art improvement journey :)

I love your commentaries on Felix’s art journey! I was one of those people inspired by him to start drawing everyday and I think it would be awesome if you could make a video breaking down how he did things, how to draw in that style with the proper per portions, and give more pointers. Thank you and loved this vid ❤️
