Another alternative if you have a midi keyboard would be using a Bome's Midi Translator where you can assign any keyboard shortcuts to your midi ccs

May I advise the Custom Keypad app from IOSproapps. It's available in the Itunes store for 3 or 4 dollars if I remember it well. They make an app for the ipad (don't know if it works on the iphone) that lets you create a fully customizable layout for whatever you like. You can even make different pages for multiple layouts. I use it for my Presonus Studio One and it's killer. Enjoy!

Yes, but I won't use it as a dj controller, cause the keys are a little too laggy for that. but for preparing tracks or for beat gridding it should work just fine!

Does this device (USB version) have it's own programmable keys, or does it just remap the "numpad functions" also changing the numpad keys on your other keyboard?

Remapping numpad and shift/ctrl+numpad can be done with any other numeric keyboard.
