The little girl hearing the shoe ad tore my heart.

Loved your breakdown of everything in this episode. This is classic black mirror. My wife and I were gonna binge watch the whole season last night, but both of us felt uneasy after this episode because of how close to reality it is. Companies that I have worked for have done this to people in need before and it's sickening.

This is happening now. This is the American Healthcare System.

We're all pushing a boulder uphill and it's beginning to roll backwards.

The thing ppl are overlooking about Lux is that it can heighten skills, hence in the commercial the lady doing parkour out of nowhere! I’d recommend quitting her job, getting a teleworking job, once it’s acquired, I would’ve used some of the child money, gotten lux plus, maxed one of her skills in her brain and have her excel at the new gig, maybe stock trade potentially with the heightened analytical skills, or find another creative way to make money from the heightened level of skills she would acquire. 1k deficit of course initially from the child money being spent, however over time the membership would pay for itself.

The amount of Easter eggs in this first episode is so cool. I kept pausing to look at the shop signs and their t-shirt logos just in case

This episode is what I think Neuralink could be if the wrong people are in charge.

The only thing that could make this episode more dystopian is if Tracee Ellis Ross' character was actually the head of a pyramid scheme. She seemed fine, but she absolutely needed to consistently upsell to maintain her lifestyle too.

I'm 54 and already saw in grade school that the future was not worth reproducing for. Being childfree is truly the best decision of my life.

Agree with everything but I think the prices would've needed to be a lot higher for them to give up in a life or death situation, they didn't sell their house, beg relatives for money, go to a church and fund raise.. etc. If my wife needs 2000 a month to survive im doing whatever it takes.

Don’t give up! Your videos are fun and deep, maybe you just need another season of Severance 😅. Anyway, man oh man, this was a sad episode. I feel this subscription economy pain really hard as a tiny business owner. Everything is easier or better with software and services… but you can’t just buy anything once any more. You have to add to the monthly bottom line constantly. It’s expensive and overwhelming. This episode shows it beautifully.

Sup Igor - always love your work!.. simply put, the "hook line and sinker" expression really hits home in this episode

First episode is a reflection of almost everyone in this world

What would u do, when death shows up,

And the devil makes u an offer ???

Whomever loses their life, for Christ sake, shall find it

But to gain the world, - you lose your soul

Soon you realize, the devil is a LIAR

Youre Trapped!

And what u traded for, was only temporary

The wages of sin, WILL ALWAYS BE DEATH

This comment is a bit of a spoiler...

I was expecting there to be a $5k fee at the end to *ahem* end the contract....

I was blown away by USS Callister pt2. Part 1 was already great and I assumed part 2 was just gonna be so so but I was on the edge of my seat the entire time

I honestly don’t think it’s OF, I think it’s a statement on reality TV and streamers (specifically tiktok streamers)

This is a great breakdown of this episode! Me & my bf loved the episode, I cried at the end even though I expected it to end like that. Episodes 2-3 were very good as well, We haven't watched episodes 4-6. Are you going to make videos for the rest of the Black Mirror episodes?
BTW it also reminded me of Upload & Pantheon- I loved both these shows as well. Sorry to hear your videos aren't doing well I really don't understand why 😢😢 I hope they do better and regardless- Happy Passover! 🎊🎊
