I believe that the fathers saw the "demons" on a spectrum going from the subjective passions to the existence of objective beings who seek our fall.

Angels and demons are LITERALLY real beings.

I would cross the line that he gives as an example. Our demons persist even after we've left this mortal life. For example, very often the children of an abusive parent live with the parent's demon for the rest of their lives, even if the parent is no longer with them. Sometimes the same demon even inhabits the child of the abusive parent and that child becomes an abuser to their own offspring. The good thing is that our angels also persist after us and remind others of our goodness, which is essentially God's goodness.

I feel like using the demons of addiction as an example was a mistake, seeing as they very obviously exist separately from himself and can affect anyone.

So if demons are merely psychology or something similar, then angels must be also.. So what exactly did Mary see when she saw Gabriel, who had a name, and gave her a message from God? Are you saying she was delusional? And Daniel? And Jesus, and John? Really Jonathan?

The Oriental churches were before the great schism so were They before you & the Catholic religion
or you're both the same & you only disagree with them cuz of the word that Cyril said

Meditation has helped me profoundly breathing and learning myself and being the state of now it started with the rosary for me but no longer pray it I just am I'm human I don't live up to any expectations anymore of Christianity I just know I love Jesus and that's all I need don't care to follow the rules you take it out we're all here together love is everything
