Generally, No, this isn't the most anticipated film of the summer. Surprisingly though, I'm anticipating The Amazing Spider-Man much more than I'm anticipating The Dark Knight Rises.

A perfect movie? Have you any knowledge of Spider-Man's story or are you one of those people who sucked up the first three movies because they knew nothing else?
As far as the comic books are concerned, the first movies are tired Hollywood cliches. This one has much more personality & the story is actually faithful to its origins. Most people who know nothing about the comics love the commercial effects & dislike the visionary originality of the classic stories.
I hope this movie lives up to it!

Yeah, it had its fair share of flaws, for sure. Though the birth of Sandman was one of the best scenes in the whole trilogy...

I actually didn't hate the 3rd one like a lot of people, or at least a seemingly large amount of people, and I'm kinda curious to see how the story is reinvented without repeating scenee-for-scene what happened in the other film. I'm sure it will be done well but I don't think I'll be super stoked to see this particular movie when it comes out. Maybe on DVD or Netflix, etc...but not really into seeing the theatrical release of this.
