Bald is More Dominant But Less Attractive

Being bald doesn't only slightly reduce your attractiveness, depending on your face it can completely remove you from the dating market.

When men are obviously balding, people often say “he’d look better if he just shaved it all off.” I’d be curious if there’s any data to support this; are men with no hair perceived as more attractive than men with thinning hair or just hair on the sides?

I got a transplant last year after rocking the baldy for about 7 yrs. I did completely fine without hair, but yes -- 9 times out of 10, most guys will look better with a full head of hair and will definitely have more dating opportunities. Now that I have hair again, the smiles from random women are back, the "hey" from strangers at the bar is back, the occasional flirting is back etc. It's a tough pill to swallow but it's true. Again, you'll be fine without hair and women (or men) will still find you attractive...but the pool is definitely smaller.

I shaved my head reluctantly at age ~ 25. It’s never been much of an issue with regards to dating. Except for my own internal cries 😢😆

All men in these pictures have generally attractive faces and therefore look quite good with bald hair. The unattractiveness of baldness is much more pronounced for men with average or below-average faces.

I'm balding and have shaved my head for years, I truly don't get grown mens obsession over head hair, I go through each day totally unfazed by my balding head, the women who cares if you are bald is the kind of women you don't want in your life anyway.

I've been bald for pretty much all of my adult dating life (since 21). I've done alright, but I sometimes wonder how different it'd be if I had hair. Especially early on, since women that young would most definitely not want a bald man since most men have their hair at that age. However, as I get older and many other men my age are frantically trying to hold on to their hair, I feel like I have that advantage of being confident and used to my baldness.

I’ve always loved bald/shaved men, sure hair is nice, but I’ve always found the clean shaved head look (even as a result of balding) to be what I gravitate towards. Hair can help improve someone’s appearance, however, if they look good bald, you know they’re truly attractive and it’s not because of a trendy haircut

Why tf would bald men be perceived as taller? In my experience if two men are of the same height and one is bald and one has a huge thick hair, the latter always looks taller

Dominance is attractive to women, just own it, put on some muscle, stand straight and have a goal in life, you'll get more women than you can handle.
