I just bought one of these to clean out the 3 urinals in my building. My plumber only uses chemicals to try to clear a clog and the fix usually only last for a few months. I was able to snake out all the urinals with this tool, it works great! It doesn't feed in quite as easily for me as in this video, however. It binds up making the first turn in the trap, but work it back and forth and use some force and it makes the bend. Then it binds up entering the turn to the wall, but I can get it through. The instructions DO mention that you have to press the detent to extend the telescoping pole to get the addition 2' of length. It's like extending the legs on a canopy tent. This tool works great and I intend to snake them every six months or so to avoid excessive buildup.

Do you have a video on replacing the cable?
Awesome machine however mine broke on the 3rd use, I bought replacement but don’t want to attempt the repair before instruction

It might be the urinals in my area but those things never work for me. I always end up removing the urinal.

Urinals should only be allowed to use external traps so they can be removed/replaced and allow easy access to the drain line. Having to remove a urinal with internal trap to manually clean the build up (because AUGERS DON"T WORK) is a major PITA with several potential problems (flush valve, drain seal, caulk, etc, etc). If chemical treatment doesn't work you might as well quote the price of a new urinal install. OR the current trap design should be abolished and redesigned (larger) to allow realistic servicing.

ironically, after using this tool now around 60 or 70 times over the last couple years, today was the first time I have had to extend the cable.
That being said, in my previous comment I thought it actually had a longer cable somehow in there, and I wasn’t grasping how that was possible?!
The fact is, it is not possible.
However…. The tool itself acts as a extension to the snake.
Unfortunately the young Man here misses out in the explanation of how to correctly extend it. He gives you the basics and does it with ease, however doesn’t mention the small push pins at both the top and bottom of the snake shaft.
Once you find that line he’s talking about, and slide the base down to lock the snake in place (it is absolutely not as easy as he makes it look, you have to man handle it sliding the base down), after that, you have to depress the little push pin in the upper shaft above that red line while pulling the shaft up and out. Once you do that, you have to release the lock (which he does say) and then you can re feed the snake further. If you forget to release the lock, your snake will not turn or feed (mistake made, learned from).

To bring back the normal length, there is another push pin at the bottom of the shaft to push the shaft back in, at which point it will go back to normal length. I don’t think I had to lock the cable in place to reset the normal length, but I’ll try to remember next time how I did it!

On the positive side, this video absolutely helpede learn this tool better, and this tool is an absolute god-send!
Might be the best tool I own. Has saved me a full days disgusting hard work 98% of the times I have used it, where I might have had to completely shut down a public restroom and pull urinals off the wall, and because of this, I have been able to walk away from said restrooms in 15 minutes or less almost every time!

Ok, So I bought one of these through Amazon a few weeks ago and it worked awesome on the first 2 urinals. The 3rd one however, the cable unconnected from the tool while inside the drain. I'm searching youtube to figure out how to reconnect it without breaking the tool. It didnt come with a bag which sucks now that I see one exists. also I didnt see any extension cable either, just the normal length. Am I missing something? The writing on the package is too small for this old guy to read even with my glasses on! Otherwise this thing is GOLD!

Good luck doing this when its some funky ass urinal that hasnt been taken care of in 5 years and that calcium buildup is hard as diamonds. Works great on that brand new urinal that isnt even clogged

I am so pained that the video misses the step of pushing in the correct detent on top or bottom of the metal arm. The locking mechanism improvement did little for me until I found the detents (small spring loaded buttons) which when engaged push or pull on the coil. It wasn't this smooth and easy, and wrestling it all together missing the detents was an annoying issue. Locking, unlocking, trying to get it to work until you can't get the auger to move forward nor to retract fully almost caused the porcelain to be a scratched consequence fighting it to get out. Then searching instructions showed the missing step on my Milwaukee TrapSnake Auger in the video. I wished it was this easy, but ours was not as smooth as seen here. Maybe our plumbing, maybe a model year behind from Home Depot, but especially the detents.

Я конечно же большой фанат инструментов Милуоки, но меня мучает один вопрос: чем нужно писать, чтобы забился писуар?

If you scratch the porcelain, open mesh sand cloth and water will clean it all up....
