The fact, that his name literally translates into 'sake cup' is actually not a useless fact. I believe that Sabo regained his memories because he saw newspaper article about Ace. The article title had words 'Sakazuki' and 'Ace', which could also be interpreted as 'sake cup' and 'ace'. Most likely it reminded him of their brotherly oath and allowed Sabo to regain his memories.

Never thought that a man with a Hawaiian shirt could be so intimidating

I love how realistic his face is. It makes him look so weird in comparison to all the other characters who do not have “normal” looking faces. I guess that’s why he was given such drip in his outfit

I like his Hawaiian shirt
It makes him look like a dad with explosive temper

Sakazuki interpretation of "Justice" isn't to protect innocents, but to simply destroy what he personally believe is evil. He may be technically on the side of the law and justice, but he isn't a good man.

I like to think that he actually drips magma instead of blood, as it would be symbolic for him, as he is so obsessed with justice to the point he lost all traces of his humanity.

Imagine he was the one who ran into Luffy and his crew instead of Aokiji during the early parts of the series

the fact that shanks stopped his magma punch with a sword, shows how really powerful shanks Haki is.

Despite everything, I'm still a huge fan of the Marines as an organization and hope their upcoming members can reform the organization to truly be a source of justice

I loved him from the start because I love red and understood the inu part. To be honest I kind of thought he was handsome in a dad way, I also like the tattoo flowers. It wasn't until later in the series I saw how black and white he really saw things, and it really interested me as a character. If there ever was a man to end the pirate age he would be number one on the list. I can't wait to see what more comes from him.

In another universe, he retired from his position as a fleet admiral, and became a grandfather of ben 10.

In all honesty I can't be mad at him. That's what makes One Piece so realistic, made a decison on what he will do with his life and then followed it to the tee. Granted he decided to be a government dog but he decided and burnt his bridges behind him. Most people never make their minds up about any thing but he did so I respect him. He emulates many people ran across in real life. They don't agree 100% with the government but beileve in their heart it's the best way so they follow through with whatever they must.

Akainu is the kind of leader you want during an all out war. Especially when it's survival on the line. Aokiji seems better suited for peacetime conditions. After WBs death, piracy became even more dominant in the world than before. Out of the 3 pre skip Admirals, Akainu is by far the best man to deal with this situation. It was shown more than once that 99% of the pirates in One Piece actually behave like true pirates. They steal, they kill, they don't respect the law. Aokiji is too soft get the increased problem with pirates solved. Akainu is a way better leader. as much as i love kuzan no doubt about it akainu is the best leader. the guy is strict, detests pirates, even questions his own superiors for fucking with him. if he were surrounded by the 4 yonkou themselves he wouldn't back down and fight them all at once. this guy is the leader the marines need. while kuzan would also be a good leader you just get the feeling the marines would fall to complacency since their leader would be so lax and nonchalant, and that's the last thing the marines needed especially after marineford. Aokiji was thoughtful and empathic, Akainu is a dog with a bone. He doesn't understand, nor give a shit about what the other side thinks.
Akainu can have the same ruthless the opposite side has when the time calls for it while still keeping a smart head thinking ahead like Sengoku, the best of two worlds, on the other hand imo Aokiji wouldn't be able to pull the trigger when necessary and just follow Sengoku's foot steps not making drastic moves and in the end not accomplish much
And yes i do think Akainu understands the evil mind better then Aokiji, and if Aokiji leaving the marines makes him see things drastically different then he was missing something, the Fleet Admiral sits on one of the tops of the world, the one that sits on it not having a proper vision of it would inevitably fail. I'll be surprised if Akainu character wont go insane but for now i think he has the best shot of leading them to a greater future. You need a commander-in-chief who gets shit done whatever the cost. A man of principle who doesn't feel obliged to compromise when dealing with what are essentially criminals. The Americans have it right: You don't negotiate with terrorists. You blow the shit out of them instead, hard, fast and as early as you can before they're allowed to grow and become a threat to you. Furthermore you lead by example. He led during the war, personally taking responsibility to make sure Ace didn't escape. Judging by the promising indicators so far under his tenure, i.e. relocation of Marine HQ and the rapid way he's dealing with the Doflamingo situation, it seems like he's made a fine Fleet Admiral. The marines will grow significantly as an organisation under his command. I look forward to seeing him again in the manga.
