Tigers meow exactly like house cats, just a few octaves lower!

Tiger meowing at its original octave and the cat meowing pitched down to a tigers octave.
Actually all cats of the Pantherinae can meow, growl and hiss. But only Pantherinae can roar and chuff.

I don't own most of the original videos, except for the house cat and only use it for science/entertainment purposes and not for commercial interests.

Now I wanna hear the tiger's meow pitched up to sound like a house cat.
EDIT: Someone has linked a video of such in this very comment chain!

Tigers also scratch and bite exactly like cats do, just a few centimeters deeper.

A cat is a cat, no matter what their size.

Fun facts, the distinction between lesser cats and big cats is a rigid hyoid bone in big cats and a flexible one in lesser cats.
The rigid hyoid bone allows for roaring but prevents purring while lesser cats can purr but not roar.
There are only 5 big cats being lions, tigers, leopards, snow leopards, and jaguars.
Otherwise, cats be cats!

So that means if you increase the pitch of the voice of a cow ...you get a Meow

It also happens on some humans with gigantism. Usually bigger larynx means lower tones

Tiger expected sound: Roar!
Actual sound: Mooo!

So a Tiger is a bass feline while a cat is a sopranino feline ?

God: lower the pitch and we make Big Cat

This is literally how sound works. Larger chamber = larger wavelengths = lower pitch. This demonstrates that big cats have the same vocal apparatus as a domestic cat, except on a larger scale.

Is that Zion the laziest but most huggable tiger in the world 😂😅🙏

"Uh ma'am, your cow seems to have fangs."

"Oh he just consumed a little too much grass."

Anyone who say "That is not a meow, that is a roar" well you are right and wrong, remember this, your house cat is small while a tiger is big, the equipment they have are different in size like comparing a .22 round to an auto cannon round.
So its absolutely adorable to see big cats act like house cat, also a free fun fact, all animals can suffer from involuntary happy tail wags. Its a mystery why this happens but its adorable.

So technically felines only used meowing when cubs call for their mother as babies. Ironical that cats started it using in adulthood cause thats what we respond to.

So, in music instruments a cat is to guitar and violin. A tiger is to bass and cello.

Now I'm afraid if I got to hear a "moo" in the wild and thought that it was a cow when actually it was a *friCKIng TIGER*

So in theory, giant humans would have really deep voices?

What's interesting is that it is thought that "meows" (a certain set of cat vocalizations) evolved over time so that cats could interact, and even manipulate humans. Are we seeing large cats develop a similar behavior, as they interact with humans? Big cats are dying largely due to loss of habitat and starvation. Humans are moving inward on them. At the same time, humans find them to be very charismatic, so big cats survive in small numbers in captivity. Are we slowly breeding large predators that are becoming dependent upon manipulation of humans for their survival? Something to think about. Maybe not...

Simple physics, right? Like, they probably have bigger vocal organs or some kind of sound resonator so they sound lower.
