Why choose RDJ? Don't get me wrong he's an excellent actor, but I feel like his acting style just doesn't fit the character of Dr. Doom. Hollywood has so many people to choose from, and they chose wrong. Heck, I feel like I saw somewhere that Mads Mikkelsen was in the running... and they _did't_ choose him?

The first time since, well End Game, that I've been excited for Marvel films. Most of Phase 4 and 5 have been very poor and it has nothing to do COVID. Marvel just over-planed, hoping that the fan base would just except whatever got made regardless of the story telling and world building. The Marvels showed how out-of-touch and out-of-hand it had gotten, with 3 shows and a film needed to fully understand what was going on before the before film starts.

Could be something. Could be a very desperate move with little thought behind it. Either way, Doom deserves to be done well so maybe Downey can bring some of that Oppenheimer juice to it.

so we get civili war tony suited until the big scene where the suit becomes him. If done well it will make a great doom, if done baly it will make starks legacy meaningless while messing the doom line also. There is no try with this, its a must work movie. Its a worry separating what tony did already, with the tony they are making now as the ultimate bad guy, releasing his "i am iron man" action to just another multiverse action from a variant tony. Lets see what they do.

I think Michael Fassbender would have been an excellent choice. It could work if he's a variant of Stark that became Victor. Yet that's still a huge leap.
