EASY BAKED ACORN SQUASH

It's Fall! That means winter squash season! Squash is so versatile and there are so many varieties! This lovely acorn squash is so easy and the perfect side this time of year! And only a few ingredients!

BAKED ACORN SQUASH

INGREDIENTS
acorn squash, cut in half and cleaned
tbs butter for each half
sprinkle of cinnamon
Pam cooking spray

DIRECTIONS
Cut and clean the squash, and set like cups in a baking dish.
Spray with pam.
Put a tbs butter in each half.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Brown sugar sprinkled on is optional, or use an infused oil instead of the pam and butter.
Bake at 375F with foil covering them for roughly 45 minutes to an hour, testing for doneness when tender.

Sounds/looks delish! When we were kids, mom would stuff hers with either ground beef or pork, whatever she had in the freezer -- and sometimes a few bacon strips -- savory and filling.

One of my favorite Fall sides. I like a little br sugar and then let it in the oven long enough to get a little brown. Yum.

That way definitely look tasty. My mom takes acorn squash with stuffing for our thanksgiving dinner.

Nice recipe, might add maple syrup after it comes out of the oven. Sometimes I'll cook them halfway, face down. Flip and fill with a bit of stuffing or leftover chicken and veggies. Thanks for sharing and reminding us to get those squash from the market soon.
