6, 000 MW isn't much for a country of Ethiopia's population. Hopefully they build more.

Don't be surprised by this dam... We will build more dams in Nile river....because 85% of Nile belongs to (originate)form Ethiopia 🇪🇹

The way GERD is been built is upon the understanding of Nile stream countries but what the Egypt and Sudan doesn't understand is that nile river's source is Ethiopia so they need to communicate peacefully as the Ethiopian government did, but if they want to go further, we are not scared and we will build more dams on the Nile(abay) river to overcome electricity and clean water issues in our country because it's our natural resource we can use it as we wish to develop our country. Peaceful way is good for both sides but if they want to use force, we will fight to use our natural resources

Let Ethiopia build even more dams, we need much of that development in Africa.

I’m sure there would be many 🇪🇹 who have become numb to hearing the word “controversial”. The dam is complete, the dreams of Ethiopians past, present and future fulfilled🙏. Egypt futile approach is only creating more resolve and determination on the part of Ethiopians for more dams on the Nile, the more Egypt is invested on creating alliances to weaken and destabilise 🇪🇹, the stronger we become💪

The way everyone presents how Egypt depends on the Nile for all its needs, is as though it is Ethiopia's

GERD Dam not supposed to be a global tension. Rather, it is supposed to be a global blessing !!!

Egypt and Egyptian enjoy 100 % of electricity cover as compared to less than 40% electricity coverage in which 60 % of Ethiopian population don’t have such facilities. Hence, it is mandatory for the nation to build GERD and more other dams
