I Fear That Euphoria Season 3 Isn't Happening Anymore...

It's wild that sitcoms used to make 23 episode seasons in like 3-9 months and now it takes shows 2 1/2 years to make a 10 episode season.

I definitely was looking out for a cancelation on Euphoria with Angus being gone, but if it's true that Sam is writing for season 3(with no help as usual), then it definitely would need to be the last. Rue's storyline is already concluded kind of. Maddy is over Nate. Lexi finally admitted the truth of how she feels amongst her peers. Kat found confidence in herself(I think that was what we were supposed to conclude, Idk). Ashtray is gone, and Fez-- I'm kind of scared on what Sam will write to address his character - unless it doesn't get brought up. The only characters that need their stories concluded are Cassie, Nate and Jules...so yeah

About Fez’s character, seeing how him and Ash (deceased ofc) were shot at, I wouldn’t be surprised if they wrote him off as also dying from the shootout.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention The Idol - the catastrophic reception the show had def made the HBO executives hesitant on giving green light for Sam do whatever as he was doing and knowing his ego he wouldn’t take that well. I’m pretty sure Euphoria s3 would have at least way more info out by now if he wasn’t associated with so many controversies rn.

It’s cool that Euphoria is GenZs “Skins”. Skins has more substance, but Euphoria is a little more visually pleasing.

I would advise anyone watching this to look into the now redacted comments Petra Collins gave in an interview about how HBO hired her to direct Euporia (she created the entire visual aesthetic pulling from her years of work in photography and even did some of the casting!) but at the last minute fired her (with the excuse she was too young) and passed it on to Sam Levinson. Years later season 1 comes out and she only then realized when they changed directors they kept the work she had already done, completely ripping off her designs for the shows visuals with no credit. Just another reason to despise Sam Levinson, seeing as the stunning visuals and aesthetic are half the reason people were drawn to this show and is the excuse defenders of him will fall back on when people criticize his writing.

With the downfall of mid season 2…..yea I’ll prefer 2000s teen shows.

See they could go down a Skins Route and focus on Gen 2 like Gia and her friends. Like still do a time gap with everyone but explain the aftermath through how it effects and connects the new kids.

It’s crazy how this show is only 2seasons in and we’re unsure about its future. I feel like actors used to cling to show that broke them…. Also it’s crazy how in the past, 5 and less seasons of a show was considered “cut short” but now….. 2 SEASONS!? That’s insane!

Honestly, the only thing I care about with Euphoria is Labrinth. I would love to see him do more soundtracks for different shows or movies, he is just astounding and he makes any project that he’s on just breathtaking. Love his music, so moving away from Euphoria might let him explore more creatively. His feature with Billie was amazing, so seeing him do more outside of the show would be great. 💜

Oh I been knew we weren’t getting season 3. One of the actors said the script changed 4 times and then he just stopped giving af. On the off chance that season 3 does come out I think it’ll be bad

They never should've cancelled that Degrassi reboot because Euphoria is definitely over after season 3 (if we actually get it). Y'all go stream the Heartbreak High reboot and Everything Now 😢

I mean, the way Season 2 ended, Rue’s monologue made it seem like that was it. I was honestly surprised that they said that there’s was gonna be a season 3.

I'm a huge Dominic fike fan and he talks a lot about how not only the sober coach but like therapists he's had haven't helped because they come from such a different perspective than he does so they don't really get it. I feel bad that they couldn't give him a better experience working on euphoria bc he deserved it:(
