Number 1: Self-Awareness. Leaders know their strengths and weaknesses, and are aware enough to understand how they impact others.
Number 2: Mindset Management. The best leaders realize that their thoughts influence their actions. So they actively manage them by lessening their inner critic and practicing a growth mindset.
Number 3: Empathy. Empathetic leaders are active listeners, genuinely curious, and able to understand the perspectives of others.
Number 4: Humor. Today’s most dynamic leaders use thoughtful moments of humor. They lighten the mood with a joke, a funny pop culture reference, or a creative team game.
Number 5: Engagement. The most compelling leaders are engaging communicators. They tell stories, they’re expressive, and they actively involve others.
Number 6: Empowers Others. Leaders don’t micromanage, but they give people the chance to truly own projects, to learn new things, and to make their own decisions.
Number 7: Influence. Influential leaders understand what really drives people so they can appeal to those values and gain buy-in.
Number 8: Flexibility. The best leaders can be flexible in terms of adjusting to changing situations and ideas.
Number 9: Courage. Dynamic leaders don’t shy away from conflict, tough conversations, or feedback.
Number 10: Creativity. The most creative leaders help their teams think differently about solving problems, experiment more, and innovate.
Ok, that’s it for now. Which of these 10 skills do you use the most? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, and I’ll see you in the next video.
