"It worked! ...so they put that universe aside and made a second universe."
This is such a funny line.

I lost it at "The elves came back and told him not to do that."

"Halflings being irrelevant for 7 minutes straight"
Also the dwarves were a funny mess: One Kingdom -> five kingdoms, everybody but the first one dies, repeat

Small note for anyone curious.
Thr aboleth did not misjudge the size of the star stone, they had summoned a big enough rock, but two of the old human gods(possibly more idk) sacrificed themselves to reduce the impact from "world destroying" down to just "apocalyptic"

>Calling Rovagug Cthulhu
>Cthulhu also exists in Golarion

Wow, if we are going to get this passing "Let's try other systems because that company tried to screw us" phase to stick, we need to do a LOT MORE OF THIS!!!!

Love that Halflings is just there, and suddenly slaves

Cayden Cailean is my favourite deity for this exact reason.
Bro went on a bender and woke up a god, I would watch that if it were to become a TV show 😂

As convouted as a lot of that seems to be... I *really* like the lore that humans were created by ancient psychic abominations as a servitor race, but ended up chilling out after surviving an apocalypse.

It is popularly said that the gnomes left the First World for the Material Plane out if curiosity, but it is heavily implied that they may have been cast out of the Fey because they followed an Eldest (pretty much a fey god) who's name has since been struck from history because he stole a piece of the River of Souls to introduce mortality to the curious gnomes. The first gnomes to arrive on Golarion had no souls and so when they perished they were essentially deleted with no afterlife and almost went extinct because they lost many of their fey attributes (hiding in shadows, much of their shape-shifting ability). Buuuut their children were born with souls and now must endlessly pursue new and interesting things or they will become a bleachling. I love gnomes

***edit***
So the gnomes DID have souls in the fey, they just weren't tied to the river of souls. They reincarnated in the fey like the rest of the fey creatures. Losing their connection to the First World without having a connection to the River of Souls is what ultimately destroyed the spirits of the immigrant gnomes. But their children being born here had that connection, fortunately. The migration nearly caused the gnomes to go extinct.

At least one guy: "What about halflings?"

The rest of the universe: "What ABOUT halflings?"

The fact that the gods made the First World with all its plants, creatures, and people, and then just said “lol bye our test run is over!” was so messed up.
There’s a section in the First World book from PF1e where a fey says something along the lines of “We made the mistake of thinking we were first as in ‘firstborn’ when really we were first as in ‘first draft’”

The main takeaway was the noodle fish taught humans to wiggle their fingies and make magic.

This is fantastic and now I want this in "the history of japan i guess" style. Which it's already really close to! "The dwarves united. But then all the dwarves outside Highhelm ~*died in a tornado*~ so the orcs took over. The dwarves were like 'please give those back' and the orcs said no. So they killed all the orcs and took back the cities. 'yay!' Then all the dwarves outside Highhelm ~*died in a tornado*~".

One of my favorite thing about the pathfinder setting book I had was how jn the timeline, it says how Cheliax was waiting for Aroden’s return to bring the Age of Glory and then it’s immediately followed by The Age of Darkness, Aroden dying being the first point a year later.

Dwarves never seem to catch a break no matter what universe they're from...

As a note, I love how unsubtle Golarion is in its being Fantasy Earth in its map/worldbuilding.

The sunken old glorious kingdom even being called Azlant.

Edit- the solar system also has a Mars-equivalent red planet which is sorta "John Carter but in Pathfinder"
