those jobs are hft based companies, they do prefer IIT but they also look at ur competitive programming rank and the jobs vacancies are minimal, so yes IIT are overrated

This is surely wrong...none of the companies offer these packages in india....these job offers given to one or two selected candidates for his prior research to be continued....but not all IIT students allow to sit in an interview....the youtuber is living in delusion.

Yes they are overrated and so are most Indian engineering colleges
I mean so less emphasis on research makes our brain only solve problems which are solved by many people previously also, we don't create a problem to solve or don't think so much which would make us think that a problem can arise in certain scenario.we don't get new ideas easily and are busy running after money.

Compared to something like European, American or even our asian Universities like NUS/NTU etc. are way better in terms of research.

And if you want proof, I want to ask you how many Turing awards do we have, or how many feilds medal do we have ?
Turing award only 1 that too the person who got is a professor at Harvard and is half American.
