I absolutely loved that part. No prosthetics, no technology, no nothing. It was just the sheer, stupendous voices of the two that made this experience so mesmerizing and the tonality of the entire song gave me an 80s' vibe, where to become a prodigious singer one would have to use only the power of his own voice, without any help from artificial devices. Simply amazing

I think the reason people said “i miss the old family guy” for like a decade was because they stopped doing the musical number bit for favor of “dark” comedy.
because something that really did make family guy unique in the veritable sea of “nuclear-family sitcoms” was that they constantly pid homage to the old soundstage musicals and they did that well.

This reminds me of that album from Family Guy where they sang songs like this live in Las Vegas. Also, I’m almost extremely impressed at how Season 20 is doing. It definitely needs some huge improvements, but overall, great job to Seth and Co.
