I still find it hard to believe that Alana is voiced by Elizabeth Gillies. She killed that role!

Honestly, Alana would have been a better wife to Peter, a better parent to the kids, a better friend to brian, and the best part is she knew what she was getting into and she wanted it, even when she was in jail she still cared enough to ask how the children were doing

They should make a family guy theme where Alana replaces Lois and everyone still sings the same as in the original. And Lois watching everyone performing from the side lines and maybe cuts in the middle of the song trying to strangle Alana to get her roll as a terrible parent/ wife.

I like how they did the creepy zoom in to show she's a villain despite the fact she is infinitely less evil than Lois.

Other than being a better wife and mother, Alana is also a way better singer than Lois. Now if only they could fully remake the opening theme song with her instead.

I lost it at the fact that she even does the exact same head movements as Lois while she sings lmao 😂

The problem with this episode is it expects you to give any iota of a crap about Lois after what she’s become. After she continuously berates, gaslights and manipulates her family (who aren’t even that good to start with and are worse but let’s not pull more hairs). It’s been shown many times that without Lois the Griffins are actually a lot more functional and behave like a family. They get along, they talk, they all partake in shenanigans, even Meg gets genuine respect on some level.

I cannot care about Lois anymore. I can say the same for Peter, Chris, Stewie, whatever. They’ve all devolved into whatever the plot needs them to be with no real tangible consistency. That’s fine by itself, I accept that. But Lois is one of absolute worst depictions of a mother and wife in American animation. She’s not Ragyo Kiryuin by any stretch, even though she has done similar crap to others. Lois is just… THE WORST! She is the worst in that she is a self-entitled, needy, controlling, loud, hypocritical, shallow, demented sociopath with no actual love for her family or anyone else unless it fits her goal of the episode. I get at least with her family she would grow to be sick of them after a while, they would drain anybody. But that’s a whole other mess of worms. As a character Lois just takes up space in a show where everyone can be varying degrees of twisted and awful.
