What is PLA Plus? Duramic 3d review

On this episode of Crazy Will Tech Show, we are looking at PLA Plus. I have used lots of filaments ABS, TPU, PLA, other types of PLA but I have never tried PLA+. Then Duramic 3d contacted me and asked if I would review their PLA Plus. I'm like PLA+? After doing some research, it’s basically the best of both of them. Strength and temperature threshold of ABS and the ease of use of PLA. Now there are differences from one brand of PLA Plus to others. I'm going to put Duramic 3d PLA+ to the test and at the same time see what the differences between PLA+ and PLA. I'm really excited about this one. Definitely some solid filament on par with eSun PLA+ in my prints. Can't go wrong with either!

If you are going to do a weight strength test, you need one of those hanging scales then use a container of some sort where you can add sand a little at a time. You were almost dropping the weight at a slight angle wich creates unnecessary forces. Which weakens it for the next weight test.

I actually have restarted prints from the Ender 3 after a power failure. Our neighborhood is prone to power failures. Ugh

For prints I REALLY cared about that I printed through the PI, I was able to roughly estimate the layer the print left off on and modify the gcode to redo the last layer and resume. It's never been perfect and you can roughly tell where it happened but it was better than starting over.

i only print from an sd card and ive never had a problem restarting prints when the power goes out

Duramic are not coming forward with their recommendations or what the material is, which would render their product unusable in this case. The print quality is really good, as is the print strength.

From power no problem, filament sensor is crap though, will stop it but when it goes to set nozzle for filament change it never achieves proper temp and keeps fluctuating +-5 on the dot

Anyway else have issues eith eSun lately? Seems like a moisture issue with the last 2 rolls ive had. Im trying duramic now, ill update with those results.

Question, I have the same Sunlu filament dryer as you have on top of your printer where did you find the piece that holds in on top of your 3-D printer?

Restore a printer running a raspberrypi by measuring from the base of the bed to where it stopped using a caliper. Then use a gcode analyzer or search gcode for first z movement to height measured. Remove everything before except start gcode and the first move which raises z axis and change it to something above the height of the stopped layer.

No such luck - on raspberry pi - no go.
Power out - no points saved to EEPROM - so recovery is no go.
