HMS Glowworm was a destroyer of the Royal Navy. On 8 April 1940, Glowworm encountered a German destroyer transporting landing troops during maneuvering operations on the Weser River in the invasion of Norway, and the German destroyer attempted to break contact and called for assistance from the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper. During the naval battle, HMS Glowworm was heavily damaged, but still struggled to fire torpedoes at the German ship. HMS Glowworm eventually rammed the Hipper, breaking the Firefly's bow, which exploded and sank shortly thereafter.

British Navy was told no matter the odds. Press home your attack. That truly showed the bravery and guts of those brave sailors on board British ships in WW2. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨

I know this story, and so I know it’s true. But it still sounds like a lie coming from this AI voice
