The "chocolate-colored pall lowered from heaven" could also show how people want to hide them selves from heaven as to not let god see their sins that take place in Soho. This could show that everyone knew that they where made of Hyde however they could not bare to publicly display this? Also showing the duality of man who pretend they have not draw to luxuries that are ungentlemanly.

Hi! Thank you so much for this video, you've helped me so much with this and all your other vids! Just one thing, I'm still confused at how Hyde's 'house' is Jekyll's lab yet they are in two different places with different town names? Hyde is in Soho but Jekyll isn't- how is that possible?

I would also argue that Stevenson uses the metaphor of 'wealth and comfort' being 'plunged in darkness' to represent Utterson as hypocritical as his interest in Jekyll's will results in him searching for Hyde, as opposed to friendship. Also, the idea that 'money is the root of all evil' conveys that it is Jekyll's bourgeois status which leads to his corruption, through the creation of Hyde.

Guys did you notice a really weird and scary picture at 15:32 towards the bottom left hand corner of this woman.

This is so amazing! I wish I was doing Jekyll and Hyde! Mr Salles, I am studying and Jane Eyre and was wondering what purpose of Brontë would be best to explore in order to get the highest grades? Thank you!
