Its so sad because I'm sure a lot of people in the comments are like me, going to a college that is $10K+/yr and their professor did a terrible job of explaining this, so they had to come to youtube and found it to be much easier. Thank you Patrick

I sat in a 3 hour class completely lost (I'm an A student and still couldn't get it) and felt like crying out of frustration. I watched your video and 2 minutes later here I totally get it. THANK

My professor spent 1.5hrs trying to teach this to my class today and almost everyone was still scratching their heads, this video is sooo much more useful.

You're literally a god, I watched your videos countless times last year as a calculus student but forgot how to decompose a fraction into partial fractions.

It's so much easier to watch your clear and concise videos than to scroll around Google trying to find a stupid dumb long website where the authors don't talk about crap.

Watched this three years ago freshman year of college to get through calc 2, watching again today for an advanced engineering class and it was just as helpful the second time! Thank you!

One of the only math teachers on youtube who properly breaks down and explains the problem in a way for EVERBODY to understand, your not just speeding through problems but actually explaining the process. Thank you sir!

YES! OMG THANKYOU HOLY CRAP. I've watched 300 videos on youtube on this stuff, and I was about to rip my hair out. You explained it perfectly, I feel so relieved now. Test in 5-minus 12 hours and I'm that much more comfortable. Thank you man, I'm definitely subscribed :)

Spent 1 hour looking at lecture notes and could not understand a thing. Watch PatrickFMJ's example and learned everything within 5 minutes.

Thank you.

why is your Sharpie's cap bent like that? How do you do that? Can you make a video about it? (Talk about being distracted...I'm on a whole new level!)

It's been years since I learned this in 2nd semester calculus, and now It has come up in Differential Equations. This video was a solid refresher, and I'm ready to do some DiffEQs. Thanks, Patrick!

I've watched every single PJMT video, and reading everyone's comments video after video, you start to notice that the average teacher seems to be incapable of teaching this subject matter properly. All the money we pay for education and this corrupt school system that in-debts students(the student loan bubble that will soon explode and cause another financial collapse), and it seems I was not able to get a single decent math teacher. I watch some PJMT videos and stop going to the lectures completely; only attending exams. Still got my degree in still cannot find a job after 3 years. I'm literally in-debt to my knees, and realized that all the money that I spent learning this Math should have gone to Patrick. If only 1 measly % of our tuition for math classes would go to Patrick and all his useful videos, he could expand his empire and make even more videos, helping out 1000s of more people. PJMT, like the rest of us, is a human who needs to pay bills and live his life. Patrick, I really wish I could donate you more money, but I'm broke as a joke. Anyway, thanks a million!!!! Could not have done it without you. If I get a real job in my field, I will be donating you a lot more money. Thanks again! Got a feeling of nostalgia coming back to these videos to help out a friend.

I want to thank you immensely for posting your knowledge on youtube. You are a clear, thorough individual who explains math perfectly and in a linear style that makes sense to me! Thank you for helping me succeed this spring semester in precalculus.
