I think you can combine conveyer belts by directly placing one into the other. You're placing down load balancers whose job is to make both output conveyers have equal through put (or bias one side over the other), which is not at all the same as combining conveyers.

Played factorio and satisfactory now half way threw this and love it

I've almost got Yellow automated. Fun game. Except for the bit where I had to wait 50 minutes for something to be built to continue (it cannot be sped up).

Potentially a spoiler, but my advice is build the modular comms tower and establish the connection before anything else to avoid waiting like I did.

Also I reckon c3 did it.

if you want to start the base faster don't do what biffa did and build millions of smelter lol. just do enough to get the burner first then get research automated. there's somewhere that tells you one miner can support 2 smelter.
