It´s just so demotivating seeing almost 0 views on videos that you spend so much time and effort on. 4:15 is such a valuable point for me. Been pondering whether live streams and uploads can have a symbiotic relationship on a channel but I feel that objectively having listened to this they can quite easily be detrimental to one another. It's a difficult one since having the regular streams alongside my uploads does create more impressions for my other videos for sure (albeit very small) but are those impressions sending the wrong signals/ appearing to the wrong audiences. If anyone else has any other thoughts let us know

I tried starting a second channel for booktube after already getting my art channel past the 1k landmark and it floundered. In 8 months it peeked at 76 subs. I happen to be a book BLOGGER and I've got a big follower base on book Twitter but I couldn't convert that audience to channel viewers. The sad truth about booktube is the audience is tired of global north white women reading fantasy, that's what I am, and that's not who's going to grow right now. People are interested in global south readers shouting about how global south readers are ignored in the space (and I say more power to them!) and men. People see men reading and watch because apparently that's a spectacle.

I just want to thank you guys for the excellent videos. My channel hasn't necessarily grown a great deal since I started to implement some of your tips. But the last 2 videos have been much more successful, in terms of views, over time and I have also had some great feedback from my regular viewers. I look forward to trying to improve each time I post a video. I also plan to go back and address some of my thumbnails and titles on older videos. My channel is an channel. There is a lot of competition within this niche 😂😂😂

I ran into that problem with my channel. I thought: "Well, competition in the Minecraft community is really high, so I should build an audience elsewhere." And then one of my Minecraft videos got over 10k views and I realized that was a dumb idea.

The main issue at least from my perspective, is that it's a very wrong mentality to create content because you want to get views, subscriber's and so on . If you don't enjoy the creation process without expecting something in return, you'll most likely get frustrated and burned out. Create because you love to do this. This is exactly where I'm at. I feel like I've gotten better at thumbnails/titles, yet I'm not getting the views I'd hope for. Part of it I know is I need a new camera with a mic jack but I can't justify thousands of dollars this early in the journey

This is an interesting viewpoint. I do understand the focus perspective but I thought a bit of diversification may draw multiple types of audiences and possibly gain more views and subscribers. However it appears that the algorithm does not like that.

A tip: Watching your own videos again and again doesn't increase your views 🤣
