Surf fIshing for flounder! Slow pitch jigs only!

Heading out to Jax Beach with the boys for some surf fishing, the catch?We're sticking to Submission Fishing jigs exclusively. We're infusing a bit of West Coast surf fishing flair into Florida, utilizing small rods and light tackle to remain agile and comb the beach. Luckily, our strategy yielded great results, and we all reached our limits! If you've never tried micro jigs in the surf, it's definitely worth checking out!

Our flounder season here in NJ just closed this week. But I targeted and caught a lot of them from the surf this year. My standard method had been a small single jig with a Gulp jerk shad but I also started through hard baits (small deep diving jerk baits and a few crank baits) and that was a lot of fun. I really like what you were doing with these slow pitch jigs and I will absolutely try that next season. What rod / reel / line were you guys using when slow pitching the beach? Mostly I'm curious about the rod length, power and action that you prefer for this application. Great video - thanks!

Damn you had inspired me. I bought a bunch of major craft slow pitch/standard 30g-80g but I didn't get anything after using. How many gram is your favorite weight?
