Some guys came to my Jr High School and performed this jazz song. This is what sparked my interest in Jazz Music...Watching/listening to live Jazz being played is so much better in person that any recording.

Probably the definitive version of "Caravan", if there ever was one. At least in my opinion

Whoa!! Never realized Ron Wilson ripped his wipeout groove practically straight out of this!!!! This was recorded in 1962 and Wipeout 1963.

Remember this as one of my Dad's albums I used to listen to growing up. He was a Blues guy, but he had his share of great jazz!

Damn Freddie Hubbard -Genius

Guy Warren of Ghana influenced Roach and Blakey but never got credit .Well he got it from Roach though .Blakey spent time in Nigeria, says he wasn’t influenced by the drummers there !? Nigeria is awash with rhythms!
Greats ALL

I was looking for the McCoy Tyner/ Freddie Hubbard version. I gave this a first time full listen. It's different and insanely jammin'. Blam, it's it my playlist:).

This is one Caravan I wouldn't mind being stuck behind on the A23

Art was one of the few drummers who had the command and expertise on all his for limbs. It is not seen in drummers of today who are hailed as great drummers.
