Fade To Black is IMO one of his best solos he's ever written.

It's so nice to see some love for Kirk's style. Yeah, he's not the most technical guitarist, but he definitely has a style that works, especially in the context of Metallica's music. He's in my top 5 guitar heroes list for sure.
