This idea of flying cars is just pie in the sky. Think about it for a second. Now think of all those cars they show driving bumper to bumper, and imagine them flying around in different directions and altitude. It's just not going to happen. At the very best, a few very rich people are going to have them, but even they aren't going to use them as an every day transport to work, go grocery shopping, pick up the kids from school etc. If everyone had a flying car, it wouldn't be safe to go out of your house with all the wreckage falling from the overhead collisions.

Ok. In California alone, with lanes, speed limits, police monitoring and laws to follow, there are still an average of 1500 accidents per day Monday through Friday. About 40% less on the weekends. About 5, 000, 000 tickets every year are given by law enforcement in California alone. All this in one state. With this in mind, explain to me again how flying cars with no lanes or speed limits to follow could in any way be construed as a "good idea"?

It all depends on which generation you are talking about flying cars. My Generation it was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Who knows what future Generations will consider a flying car
