Simon vs 17 Year Old Student - Tennis Match - Top Tennis Training - Part Two. Top Tennis Training coach Simon Konov (LTA Senior Performance and RPT National Professional coach) is back with another video featuring his 17 year old student Yoan of the Tennis Dream channel.
Simon was preparing Yoan for some upcoming tournaments in the UK and they play some practice sets to help finalize the preparation. Some of the key things they have been working on is improving Yoan's second serve, being ready to attack the opponents return with one two strike combinations and taking the ball early to take time away from the opponent.

Yoan changed his serve motion and it looks like he has way more pop on his serve so good coaching Simon!

Yoan has improved from what i can see. He was a lot more competitive than other higglights you've showed allthough he lost

Really high quality. Love the fact that you guys both have short, compact backswings with traditional grips. With the speed and pace of today’s game that type of stroke is ideal imo.

5:42-5:57 is very instructive. Yoan served the ad court wide with good spin & followed it up with a canon backhand down the line. Simon was able to scrap & hit it high and deep to save an otherwise winner to get back into the point. Two more rallies & Yoan mishits a forehand cross-court wide. Why didn't he play more conservatively & "wait" for his opportunity instead of trying to force matters? Just curious as to what Yoan was thinking at that moment. By the way, thought Yoan played very well; Simon was just on fire (serves!!).

As we discussed previously about your practice session, I have the confirmation that his somewhat stiff backhand motion is not an issue, thanks to a good body rotation. He really hits those BH cleanly. By the way a lot of ATP players hit like this: Del Potro, Kyrgios, Berdych there is almost no wrist flexion or racket lag but upper body rotation and strong legs/stance make a good job.

Yoan has a Nice backhand and movement! I think if he can create a weapon with his forehand he will be a Good player. Something in his forehand motion that is weird to me. Volleys also point of improvement. Loving the vids!

I remember I commented on a previous video saying that Yoan was looking a little bit tight on some shots. He does seem more relaxed in this video!
