You know, most people that order Starbucks order it to-go. No one will wait there to finish their coffee/drink and put the cups in the machine. This is just a waste of time, effort, and money.

I love this idea, but I just don’t think it will catch for the general public. Unfortunately most people are just too lazy. They want quick, easy, convenience. It takes practice to remember to bring your cup with you when you fly out the door to get coffee before starting your day. I would absolutely love to see Starbucks succeed in this endeavor, but I’m just not confident. I really hope I’m wrong tho. Down with single use!

well she may give it a D but I applaud Starbucks for even thinking of going this route, a route only seen in Asian countries. I don't see any other fast food company attempting to do this in the U.S.

Most Starbucks I go to won’t even fill my Starbucks tumbler with ice and water, they just give me a plastic throw away cup. So what’s the point of bringing it in?

What they neglected to say in this segment is that the customer will pay a deposit for the cup and it will be refunded once they bring the cup back.

The headline on Google said Starbucks is making a “bittersweet announcement” you know a company is full of themselves when they call getting rid of paper cups “bittersweet announcement” and they’re not even going out of business

Ugh just a horrible idea. I do not want to use a cup that someone else took home and used for God knows what and then me use it after it was supposedly sanitized. Yeah no thanks! Just use quality biodegradable cups. Hygiene is important!!
