Personally I just write an outline to kinda commit to it because if I don’t it doesn’t feel real

Outlines were something you were forced to do, and do after the fact, in school. Write the essay, then reverse engineer the ouline and pretend you did it first for credit. So yeah, never actually wrote an outline.
