Wow, understood it in just 8 minutes and I found it so hard to understand my Professor who wasn't explaining it in details. Bravo

FINALLY A SIMPLE EXPLANATION!!
I couldn't study this curve for weeks and now that I'm cramming for my exam, this lecture helped a lot. Especially when I saw how the curve is drawn and which side is which with the factors affecting it.
Thank you so much!

thank you soooo much! I don't understand why lecturers at uni waste a whole series of 5 lectures going through something that can be explained well by you in less than 10 minutes :') absolutely wonderful

Ive reviewed this concept every few years and its never stuck, but I think it will now--the way you tied in the muscles and lungs to the features that cause the curve to shift was extremely effective! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks! I had forgotten the small details from undergrad, I also didn't feel like getting up to get my Biochem book.

If you're ever a Program Director, I want to be in your program. Goodness gracious how you take a ridiculously explained concept in medical school and make it topic.

Thanks for the question. I actually said that RBCs have a bulge in the middle because "they've lost their nucleus" (not elastic nucleus). Hope this clears it up.

Working on my NP and your videos have undoubtedly been my saving grace in pathophys. You are a wonderful, wonderful teacher and I'm sure I can speak for many of us that we are so thankful to have educators like yourself. Thank you!

In the past, I've always associated a shift to the R or L from normal as a pathologic process and not a naturally shifting occurrence throughout the body. Thanks for the clarification!

As we have come to expect from this channel. Something that can be made to be understood in 8 minutes. Time to go put it into practice.
