Here’s the first time I heard “renminbi” shock devaluation.

Hearing Thomas Lembong we can see how economists work, or how the economic framework works. His answers to questions were always fashionably situated under the ideology of market reformation and domestic (and global) economic infrastructures through which he can point out where the underappreciation of some financial powers and infrastructural projects are located. This can also aimed at the regulatory structure and collaboration between financial actors, without necessarily addressing significant aspects of political inequality, political and social turmoil, premature de-industrialization, environmental setback on environmental financialization, and intricate interplay between capital and labor (and their mutual dependence). He left those unaccounted for by relying on the framework. Some will say that was how it worked. Others will say that was where the problem was.
