Unfortunately the druid class will no longer be part of Redemption as I've read from the dev's post that it was not fun to program. That said tho they did say the ritualist class will take its place in the future. If the class has been implemented yet it would be great to see you play as that class and for all of us to witness the cool things you can do with it.
Also, 20:50 that is a wrecked ship that belongs to a certain boss. The Lab is found way down somewhere in the cavern layer. Sadly much of this can't be accessed from where you're at progression wise.

Nearly every weapon both vanilla and modded has gotten each a trait, for example some weapons have now a element tied to the weapon. I recommend using the snowball cannon early game since it can freeze slimes.

As someone who's incredibly tired of Calamity being put on this pedestal by this community, whereas other (arguably better, MoR itself coming to mind immediately) mods get shafted because experimentation and risk with the mods you play doesn't get as many views as jumping on the Calamity circlejerk, it's incredibly refreshing to see someone go into a new mod completely blind just for the fun of it.

The druid class didn't really meet the mod's quality standards and that ended up in it's removal, it's getting replaced by Spiritualist which is basically druid 2 they just wanted to revamp it entirely instead of having to change 800 different weapons.

There is a hole underneath the portal with an box In it. You just go down a little opening near the portal. You already lit up the entrance a bit.
