In the future it will simply be testing and personalized treatment that is what you will pay for. As of now it's generalized masking with people enlisted making judgement from 1980s medical textbooks. More and more people get fed up or worsen and are forced to figure out their own problems. Moreover at a lesser cost and more efficacy than the industrial medical complex. Surgeons are the only exception to this rule as they actually attempt to correct the problem through physical intervention.

I just don't like that some scientists/doctor/people in general go around talking about certain science and medicine as if it is already standard or concrete when in reality it's more like a game of who can safely say what, and then turn around and sell what they say.

The microscope in the doctor's office is nice, internet-connected with the remote expert looking at the sample, controlling it, determining which microbe made you sick, easy and effective and correct prescription. A competent medical industry would have had this long ago.

Most people are not ready to change their unhealthy habits and what they want is quick fix. Modern medicine can fix a problem quickly but solution may lead to another problem requiring another fix. For modern lazy man, modern medicine is only solution they deserve.
