A small safety item lower the blade guard/guide on your bandsaw for safety and better cuts.
Using a translucent 55 gallon barrels let you see how much dust you have collected.

I bought the same dust collector and plan on upgrading it in a similar way. I'm starting to think we're not all that smart though. The cyclone and upgraded filter is around $500 in upgrades alone. $800 would probably buy a pretty decent name brand dust collector...lol
