It’s time for my March Reading Wrap-Up, and I have a lot to talk about! This month, I read some fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, and YA favorites, including:

📖 The Will of the Many by James Islington
📖 The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett
📖 A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
📖 The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
📖 The Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman
📖 Holmes, Margaret and Poe by James Patterson

Plus, I listened to the Harry Potter audiobooks (Chamber of Secrets & Prisoner of Azkaban) narrated by Stephen Fry!

In this video, I’ll be ranking these books, sharing my reviews, and letting you know which ones were 5-star reads and which ones missed the mark. If you love fantasy books, YA thrillers, or audiobooks, this wrap-up is for you!

What did you read in March? Let’s chat in the comments!

Well if you enjoyed The Colour Of Magic that much then you’re in for a treat as the series goes on. I’m nearly at the end and getting a bit emotional as a result.

Please keep going with The Hunger Games series when you feel like it, I believe they are worth it.

Also, I’ve done A Girl’s Guide to Murder backwards - I watched the TV show first because it was on a streaming service I was stopping my subscription to and I didn’t want to miss out on it. I haven’t even touched the book since I bought it and put it in my shelf. I am aiming to read it this year.

Another great vlog. Was undecided about Hunger Games and I have found your reviews so spot on with my own on many books I’ve decided not to bother with the Hunger Games 😊

I've read the whole DiscWorld series twice: the first time in chronological order and the next time in subseries order, i.e., The City Watch, Death, etc. I did like reading it as a subseries a little more, but I think that was because I'd already gone through and met all the characters. By the way, Granny Weatherwax is the best character, IMO. I hope you enjoy the rest of Cuckoos Calling. Great find on those hardcovers. You're the best as always. Happy Reading

Just found your channel and subscribed! I related to you so much when you talk about the difficulty of filming wrap-ups and forgetting everything about books read at the start of the month. I'm always like yea this book was great" and I can't even remember their names lol. Good video!

Really want to read a good girls guide to murder, it sounds really interesting!
Would also love to read Joe Abercrombie's series, but I really need to finish some other series first!
Love your videos, they're very comforting to watch and love your honesty.

Always look forward to your vlogs. Read Pratchett years ago, I remember him being funny and unique. You've inspired me to read him again.

Love a YA book. Good girls' guide to murder was a great read and very different with the lay out than anything I've read before.
YA recommendation: Cecelia ahern Flawed (bk1) and Perfect (bk2)
Loving the content 📚

Great vid Tyrone - The sequel to that James Patterson book is out now in Hardback - it's called "Holmes is missing" - it's roughly half the RRP in both Asda/Tesco. You've encouraged me to start reading the "Discworld" series, I found "The colour of magic" for 50p in a charity shop, so I shall be giving it a go soon. Im really pleased to see you've hit 4, 000 subs.. well done mate

I’m so excited that you’re starting the Cormoran Strike series. It’s one of my favourites.

Hello Tyrone. Another cracking video - and your summary of what you read this month is just the thing to get people interested in a new-to-them book. I have loved all the Robert Galbraith books (even pre-ordered them as they were published) and am sure you will too. The story lines are really well thought out and the development of the characters just carry you from page to page. Enjoy. Have a great week.

Cracking video Tyrone- loved your wrap up of your March books. Working my way through The Colour of Magic, it's insane and I don't quite know what I'm reading but it's an adventure :) Also, thanks for mentioning the library system cos it's struggling at the moment and every little bit helps!

First person narrative isn't my favourite either, but I kind of got used to it because so many books have used it over the years. When I first started reading fantasy books, it wasn't used very often - I've only come across it once in an epic fantasy and that's Robin Hobb's Solider Son trilogy and it's the only time that I've read a book where I didn't feel like the author was trying to push their own likes, interests, political views, etc on to me. Jim Butcher does it well too with Harry Dresden, but as Dresden is a nerd himself it's not as noticeable, or as annoying. In classic literature, Bram Stoker and Mary Shelley do it well in Dracula and Frankenstein but quite a lot of those books are told through letters and diary entries. It's hard for the 'voice' of the characters to be unique. I really dislike books that have first narrative across several characters in a book because it's confusing. Some authors even write in present tense when they do first person narrative and that writing doesn't always come across well - it's hard to not think that it's full of grammar errors when you read it.

I highly recommend a Thriller book called Come With Me by Ronald Malfi (He is a spectacular Horror/Thriller writer) Its about this husband who's wife got murdered. The husband goes through his wife's belongings and noticed that she has been taking pictures at places where murders have happened. He goes and investigates himself and wants to know why his wife went to these places and why she has hid this information from him. Very good thriller :)

Don't wait for equal rites, it starts off exactly where the colour of magic ends, read it as one book. All the other discworld books are self contained stories
