Nobody can become financially successful over night. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.

I've been living and earning in NZ for 6 years. In that time I have already saved £100k on a nearly minimum wage job.
I'll be moving back to Scotland this year so this video helps so much as my main interest is buying to rent 3-5 properties and then living a chilled semi retired life on a canal boat by the age of 35

Hi Jamie, amazing video as always. If you had 100k to invest and you were renting and earn 29k a year would you just buy your first home to live in?

divid whatevermoney you have by 0.29 that will allow for stamp duty and legal fees (not inc refurb costs). so if you have £100K you can buy £345K worth of assets

it may be worth adding a chapter about even more boring taxation....capital gains tax which is considerable

You'd have to keep a good full time job for the bank to be willing to give you those 3 mortgages, right? Once you have set this up as you explain, could you semi retire? Or would the bank pull the plug and ask for all money back? I am not sure banks recognise income from rents vs full time jobs...pls explain

Hi Jamie,

Just found your channel and it's really good! Thank you.

Need some advice please...

I am living in a parental home and seeking to buy a residential for me and my wife PLUS would love to start a BTL portfolio.

My wife has a property in her name which she will be bought out of soon by family.

I am presuming stamp duty wise it makes sense to purchase my residential first?

Then get my BTL.

I have a good amount of savings luckily.

Please advise if you don't mind. Would be grateful.

There is an assumption of capital growth, never know it will happen. Affordability when cost of living rises and interest rates get higher worries me slightly. That said, is there a way to do this in a Ltd Co, in order to limit exposure?

Could you make a video like this for people living in the south east. Not many 100k homes down here.

Quick question, what about BRRR? How does that look in comparison?

Hey Jamie, at around the 5:52 mark you have on the board 100k then 350k underneath. Trying to work out how it jumped to that. You said once you’ve gone in and out a couple of times. Finding your videos great. Be sweet to just get that understood if you have a min. 👍👌

Great stuff, I quit working at 45 so I don't have a job or regular income but I have a couple of houses, is it possible to get a buy to let mortgage without a regular job?

A quick way of calculating how much you will have in X years.
£350K at 5% a year for 5 years = 350000 * 1.05 ^5 = 470K
