Here's a super short video for those who gets an error compiling movie during pre-rendering video previews in Premiere Pro CC!

However I find most cases online are people getting this error message during exporting videos. I'm not sure if this helps for that case. No doubt trying! Let me know if it works!

These didn't work for me, but I did finally figure it out.

I noticed that render would work if I removed an additive dissolve on a text layer, and wouldn't if I left it there. After lots of trial and error, I finally noticed that there was a tiny pixel-length difference between the width of the text layer and the image and video layers below (the line didn't line up exactly). I resized it to perfectly align, and it rendered. No clue what's going on here, but I guess Premiere didn't like the transitions being out-of-line in this instance.

Hopefully this helps someone with one of the more niche compiling errors.

I restarted my computer, deleted clips, updated all my drivers and windows, and nothing worked until I found this! Thank you!! Saved me from having to start an animation from scratch.

Dude, you just saved my hide. This is the first time in 9 years I've encountered this, so thank you so much! I just rendered it in Quicktime, saved it, then rerendered back in I-Frame so it played back smoother. No more issues.

This worked flawlessly! For those who have this option greyed out, just change the topmost setting in your Sequence Settings tab called Editing Mode to 'Custom', then you can manually change the preview file format to Quicktime as shown above.
