Shopping Trips, A Cheeky Uke Fest And Some Explaining Rachel's Rambles #26

It's been a busy few months scince I left my classroom teaching job, but apart from sorting out a new career I have managed to fit in a couple of shopping trips to the Southern Ukulele Store and Bass Direct. I didn't have much time to spend in either but still managed to get some footage to show at least quick look at the shops.
A cheeky and unexpected small ukulele festival locally and a quick explanation as to other going on here at Ukulele Wales.

Getting out of the NEC and keeping your bearings can be tricky. Wherever you go, the trees are covering the signage, nevermind the diversions and potholes. You were so near to us at Bass Direct!
Glad things have started to pan out for the better. Good luck with all the plates you have spinning! I expect the good thing is they are ones you have chosen.
Question: I've stumbled upon the Aquila Shortbass instruments while pootling around the 'net. Do you know anything about them? The 60 one is a cutaway roundback that looks a lot like the Clearwater roundback baritones that I have (although the 60 has been eating its spinach!!). Best wishes Laura
