Here is a random cake recipe bc why not

Ingredients:

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch (23cm) round cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter until creamy, about 2 minutes.
4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Beat just until combined.
6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the frosting:

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-4 tablespoons whole milk

Beat the butter until creamy, then gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract and milk as needed to achieve the desired consistency.

Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving plate and spreading a layer of frosting on top. Place the second layer on top and frost the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
