Connecting Texas 2050 Capstone Video

Connecting Texas 2050, the latest update to the Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan, is the cornerstone multimodal transportation planning document at TxDOT. Who is this video for? Texans who seek out videos like this already know the challenges our transportation system faces. Why doesn't this outline what Connecting 2025 proposes in any specificity?

Unless that plan calls for heavy investment of passenger rapid transit, especially rail (which your website and this video clearly ignore), I don't care. You can't have a future plan built on ideas from the 1950s urban planning. Without extensive rail (light rail, heavy rail, high speed rail) investment, Texas will fail.

According to that fun video graphic at 3:13 you literally would rather Double stack a Freeway, *cough Alaskan Way Viaduct cough* than show plans for passenger rail??? Don't even get me started on the new Trump's Secretary of Transportation trying to halt $60M for passenger rail to extend south of Dallas, Former Secretary Pete B. would Never!!

Why not do the obvious and stop wasting money on more highway lanes and start using that money on expanding rails that would be useful for people in the future
