I have been trying to figure this stitch out for hours and your video is the only thing that made it finally "click" in my brain. Thank you for saving me the mental anguish of heaving my WIP off the side of a mountain.

Perfect explanation and demonstration! I've tried watching other video tutorials on this and they go too fast and don't explain each stitch. Your video is so easy to follow and understand. Thank you!!

Thank you for this brioche stitch tutorial. I had no idea it was so easy. You are not doing a yarn over. You are bringing the yarn in front. The abbreviation is byif. I do not know what your pattern says, that is how I would understand it. I am definitely going to be doing this stitch. Keep up the good work. The yarn does end up acting like a yarn over. Lurinda 😀

I'm currently knitting a brioche stitch scarf with a self-striping yarn. I love the colorway that I am using.

i've been crocheting since 2000 and knitting since 2016, i didscovered brioche in love how the "Trench" between the brioche knit stitches looks like a little stick figure with its arms up in a yay can do brioche purls in some patterns

Hi Craig, I watch your videos for a while now, chrochetet some of your patterns, a shawl and a cardigan for my daughter and baby blanket for my godson’s little boy. I love all those things and you are a gorgeous teacher. It‘s really easy to follow your guidance!
I‘ve done this knitting pattern (in Germany we call the Brioche stitch „Patent“) for several projects, a cardigan, a pullover, a small blanket… . About what I am stumbling here is : it looks so complicated for me how you are knitting. I learned to have the yarn around my left index. So you do while crocheting! That enables me to knit very fast. I can take the yarn-over and move the pearl from the left to the right needle in one step.
Is this the American way of knitting by moving the yarn with the right hand? And let it go and take it again for every single stitch? I wonder how efficient I could knit in this way…. - Just asking- don’t wanna offend you with anything!
And sorry for not knowing the English knitting terms. Hope you understand what I mean anyway.
Keep on teaching, I love your channel ❤
Greetings from Southern Germany 🇩🇪 🙋‍♀️
