Or will learning music cripple me, I want to learn music, but I don't want to stand a music stand all the time just to be able to play, and I have been told that a true musician only plays by ear?? Q:: You don’t have your thumb at the middle of the neck, instead it’s on top ( for lack of a better term ), of the neck. I’ve seen Willie Dixon n Milt Hinton having the same left hand position to fret the notes. Why?
