Hey, do you think the following is possible in MATLAB (meaning that you won't have to dedicate your whole life to it):
At our lab we are shooting at sand with a pellet gun and record it with high speed cameras to simulate meteorite impacts. We actually already have a particle tracking programm, but it only works with our current cameras which are pretty bad. So we want to buy new cameras, but no new program because it's the really expensive component, and instead find our own solution with Matlab.
Now obviously that's quite a bit different from tracking flies:
- the Sand particles are very small, maybe 1-2 pixels per grain
- there's thousands and thousands of them
- they all pretty much look alike
Now, it is without doubt possible to track the sand grains, as proven by our current app, but do you think it is possible in Matlab?
Thanks!
