Why do we covet these cars so much? Even I feel this way. It seems like we are disillusioned by today's computer-generated car designs; they all look the same hence lack character. I wish I had millions so I could restore some of these cars.

At least someone was smart enough to not destroy all those old cars! Once they are gone that’s it! So parts cars are getting really hard to find these days! Rebuilding them are very costly though!

75 percent looks like 4 doors. That 62 impala was pretty clean. Good entry level car for a beginner

The person who saved these cars, or rather saved them from the press, was a great fellow, huge thanks to him. We in Russia can only dream of such cars

That's awesome they let you out there to film and explore. There isn't anything like that where I am.

It would be cool to go back to the day the new owners drove those cars off the dealers lot and to see how good they looked and how proud the new owners were.

With this era, America lost its special character, which made it so exciting from a European perspective.
The junkyards like this are memorial sites to a bygone nation. The autumn mood is perfect!

These were once loved by their original owners all of whom have probably passed away by now. Kind of sad to see them all left behind like this, abandoned and eroding away.

The yard of the dead cars. If this could have been shown to all these generations of buyer/owners...like a Time Machine. Most probably wouldn't have believed it. What do the Big 3 think of, when seeing a part of their legacy ? Matt this type of video is your specialty. The music fits with the depth of field shots of all the rows, it presents a surreal history *scope aura. It causes some of us over 63 years of age to remember all the cars we sat in when we *hitchhiked around the state. How many*beaters we drove at different ages. Seeing mentally the faces of the past and the jokes and dates, etc. Thank you sir !!🎉😊

When I was ten, my Dad took me to a "Junkyard" in New Mexico that was like this, and it was a pick-a-part kind of place. I "picked" two hood ornaments off a 1951 and a 1953 Pontiac (one all-chrome, the other the amber chief's head). Got them both for 50 cents, total. Still have them 50 years later.

This is not a junkyard. This is a museum. No shrubs nor trees growing through these beauties. These owners have done a great job preserving these beauties. This was a fantastic video. Thank you MattsRadShow.

I like that you don't rush and show the cars. The viewer can watch and enjoy the calmly

OMG those Kaisers at the beginning ! You can't treat poor Kaisers like that ! Someone get them and love them <3
7:54 - cute square Chevy, altough it would be better if it still had fins, cars need fins. 8:51 - gotta love the Vista back window on the flattops 10:50 - someone got the radio and the heater on it, not your usual delete-everything wagon 12:05 - need to be put on top of fins, not only those bulges. Would look awesome at night. 12:50 - aww, a Special 2 dr sedan, the most basic Buick, surviving somehow. Someone go love it ! 23:00 - yay more flattops ! 29:31 seems Mercury wagons are herd animals 30:40 - oh noes, Edsels ! Don't leave them there ! They need to be loved at least in their retirement 33:40 look at them all sitting and Forward Looking ! 33:57 - oh noes, Packards ! Poor beasts ! 39:17 - Barracudas go snap, snap ! 41:40 - 1960 Plymouth Savoy. Sexy tailfinned beast. 44:38 - some '53 / 4 Plymouths around there in general 47:19 - oh noes, poor DeSotos ! Not only orphaned as a brand, but abandoned and junkyarded as individual cars ! :( Poor things 51:47 - fins ! it has fins ! <3 52:21 - '57 Ambassador, the last one :-( 54:11 - oh noes, whole front cannibalized ! 54:29 - OMG an Willys Aero '55 ! Look at it surviving ! 1:01:25 - a '57 Fairlane, but plain Fairlane, not the 500. Nice to see some surviving. Like that side scoop of color on them 1:04:54 - oh noes, a sexy Cameo Coral '59 is just sitting out there ! 1:10:39 - the "Darrin dip". Named after the stylist Howard "Dutch" Darrin who loved give his designs this heart-shaped outline. Save them Kaisers ! They need to live !
