Another stiff, one-dimensional portrayal of Hitler... no one tops Bruno Ganz' performance.

"Are you prepared for total war" was what Goebbels said in a speech in Berlin after the fall of Stalingrad. He also coined the term "The Iron Curtain" which Churchill later used in a speech in Missouri after the war.

The actors barely look like who they're portraying. I hope at least they portray them well.

I watched this movie yesterday, and let me tell you, it's maybe the best WWII movie I've ever seen. I highly recommend it to anyone.

It's such a cool concept for a ww2 movie. I hope we see some of Goebbels' early years in the NSDAP.

Thinking of Joseph and Magda, I find in them the only redeeming episode of WWII. Magda faints first, then recovers and puts a pill into Hildegard's mouth first, and faints again when Hilda turns cold. Then Helga, and Helmut and the other three H's. She knew the zenith of power and she descended to the abysm of the horror of killing her own children. What a journey in life. It was a proper epilog to WWII.

I don't think this'll be that good after watching downfall so many times I honestly can't imagine any other actors portraying these people
