Today’s video is all about placenta abruption for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.

Placenta abruption is a condition that occurs when the placenta separates from the uterine wall before delivery, which can cause bleeding and serious complications for both the mother and baby.

So as a nurse, it's important to be able to recognize it (along with other pregnancy complications) and treat it immediately.

Today’s video covers placenta abruption symptoms along with causes and nursing interventions.

Hey Nurse Mike. I took my Nclex today, I have been a member of your simple nursing. Come for 4 months. The computer shut down at 75 questions. I pray i pass as i await the results by friday. I will be back here to leave the feedback. Your voice was playing in my brain all through the test and it helped me answered most questions

I took my exam last Monday, I got to answer 145 questions, took 3 hours, I was so exhausted after 2 hours, many candidates completed and left the room by this time. That will also make us bit nervous. I got lots of questions from delegation, infection control, and pharmacology. Today I found out I passed. Thanks to God🙏. I used Simple nursing YouTube videos, and U world. Thank you so much nurse Mike, you are doing a great job, God bless you🙏. Love from Ireland.

I liked your video. My baby and I nearly died from placental abruption. One thing I felt was something tearing inside of me. Like a big rip. Just wanted to add that to symptoms. Thank you!

Hello, simple nursing! Can you do an "ectopic pregnancy" discussion video? Would be very glad if you can create one. Thank you so much!

This is how i lost my baby and I wish I went in right away as soon as I felt severe pain. I could not sit or lay down I was in so much pain. I thought it was contractions. I did not bleed but once I got to the ER they told me there was no fetal heartbeat. it was the worst pain, feeling ever and all i wanted to do was cry and scream but I was in so much pain I could not bare it. I am expecting again and I'm praying they monitor me a lot closer and praying this will be a healthy pregnancy

It happened to me 9 months ago. The abdominal pain I experienced was much like contractions. This was my second pregnancy so I knew what contractions felt like. However, I had never experienced braxton hicks so at that point i wasn't sure whether it was that. The pain I felt was not intense. So on my way to work I dropped in at the hospital to get it checked out and while I was there I suddenly began bleeding ALOT. The blood was everywhere and sudden. I did not feel any pain or discomfort at that point. I was just confused. But within a few minutes my baby was born via emergency c-section. It was so scary. So hard to remain calm but I just kept praying.

Boss Mike. Please update your qbank, please. In doing CPR with an infant, it should be 30 compression, 2 breaths. But yours is 15 compression and 2 breaths. Pls update it! Thanks!

Having lived through this, "abdominal pain" doesn't quite cover it. That pain was unlike anything I have ever felt. I'm talking sweating profusely, extreme nausea and urge to vomit, feeling clammy, auditory issues, tunnel vision, feeling as if one might pass out, unable to speak or move... it was awful. I didn't know what was happening, I just knew I was dying. It was absolutely terrifying.

LOL happy to watch this after my placental abruption and not before 😂 But I have to add that almost none of this happened in my case... Bleeding yes but none of the other symptoms

My granddaughter was holding onto the placenta even though it did abrupt.
She was holding onto it for dear life.
Now she’s a 7month muffin.
