4 Ways To Automate Your Money TODAY // Personal Finance Simplified for Those Who Don't Like It
Показать описание
In this video, we tackle the simplification of personal finance through automating your money! The points I make in here are especially helpful for those who get easily overwhelmed by the work it takes to keep up with their finances.
Let's simplify your money!
Here are the major things I believe you can automate in your personal finances:
1. Autopay
This is one that will by itself reduce the stress you experience with your finances by a huge amount! We literally don't initiate any bill payments every month because every single bill we have is set up on AutoPay. You can do this either through your card, or you can set up ACH transfers from your bank.
If the bill you have doesn't have the option of autopay, you can many times have your bank cut a check and send it to the company on your behalf. And at the same time every month.
2. Automate your Investing
American's don't save enough for retirement. According to Investopedia, people in their sixties on average have only $182k saved in their 401ks! So automating your investing is vital to making your finances easier. You can do this by signing up for your employer retirement account like a 401k or a TSP.
3. Automate your Budget
Automating your budget is as simple as using an app that makes it easy to set up each budget for each new month. EveryDollar, YNAB, and Mint all do this.
On top of this, when you link your bank account with your budget, as transactions are made, you can just drag and drop each transaction into the budget category you want. It makes expense tracking far easier!
4. Automate Transfers to Designated Bank Accounts
This will help you save for specific things by moving money automatically into another bank account. Think saving for a vacation as an example.
Bonus: Use a Debit Card Instead of a Credit Card
If you use a debit card instead of credit, it makes it easier to know exactly what you have in your bank account!
