If every over priced audio shop installed like this it’d be worth every penny! That’s awesome

To an audiophile this is art, to a lot of us it’s appreciated, to the majority it’s overkill.

I used to use waterproof speaker protectors in door installations, they improved the sound because the whole door wasn’t being used as a speaker box, they also had places indicated that you could cut a hole into to give the speaker a rear firing port.

I also like to funnel my speakers directly into my ears 😂😂. To be truth, I’d love to find this quality of audio shop in my town … I’ve never seen anything like this in my life and I think it’s worth every penny

If you're not yanking out the factory deck, be sure to Ohm match the speakers. #cdshawn

This is the type of nerd level all companies need to operate on.

Where can I get those?
I needed that when I installed mine but didn’t know they existed. On the back doors I made my own out the foam from Home Depot which worked. The bass in my back coaxial are better than my components in the front with no seals.

Nice!!! You tell just enough to get some people thinkin they know what they’re doin and get stuck!!! Thank s awesome business model for sure!!!

Im gonna add one little bit of advice about speakers in general that really affects the sound you receive when especially making door pods. I will give my best, simple breakdown as quick and simple for almost engineers and audiophiles willing to learn;

1. This man is straightforward and truthful. I won’t repeat anything I heard.
2. If it doesn’t really matter to you, good!! You’re done!!
3. Aim for the sound you want. I will herein give you some more advice, a bit generalized but designed to cut down variables to get the most “pure” sound speakers are designed for.
4. You want your speaker to move, Nothing else. Make that happen.
5. The vast majority of speakers absolutely need the air behind the speaker completely confined from the air in front for its best performance. All those holes in your door panel that can be worked to the above, do it.
6. Most craft and hobby shops sell different foams and the like to do most of the above. As inexpensive as a buck a foot or two, some with adhesive on the back ready to help. You’re welcome because the man above now despises me.
7. Have a plan, and listen BEFORE buying them.
8.crossover networks have great value in “tuning” the sound to how you like. Just dont ever place them “in” your panels. Ever.
9. If you’re not having fun, just let someone who does do it.
And 10. The Man above has very good vids. Watch them!

Seeing all this good stuff, meanwhile my project car has a 4" non-coaxial fastened to both front door cards (not even to the actual door structure).. the joys of affordable old french cars.

The only thing is how do you tell how much of a gap you have between the speaker and the backside of the door panel

Hello friend, according to your experience so far, which brand would you choose to install in your car, for example: Focal, Audison, Hertz, Steg, JL or another brand. Example for midrange, tweeter, woofer and subwoofer. Thank you so much have a nice day.😊

But I thought the door panel to the door is not airtight? I could be wrong.

I find it much easier and better to surface mount it to the door pannel and not the interior door itself.
Next I insulate the rear of the speaker usually using a plastic or foam basket... sometimes both.
Then again, im not a professional installer anymore.

Is timber still not a better mount than plastic

Add new speakers, new full range, a new HeadUnit, underseat subwoofer, n a new 6channel DSP Amp. And it sounds crap! The original Audio in my Landcruiser Prado is much more louder and bassy. As the new setup yeah maybe u can feel the stage audio, but as u drive around the audio seems not so loud. Turn the volume up and it sound worse... considering to replace my dsp amp with a normal 4channel amp. What do u think? Coming from a SPL backgroud, does the stage feeling audio really necesarry??
